Posting Bail following an arrest for Domestic Violence

In California, domestic violence is defined under Penal Codes 243(e)(1) and 273.5.    The latter of which is known as “willful infliction of corporal injury on an intimate partner” and requires physical injury to the victim.  Penal Code 243(e)(1) or domestic battery is a lesser offense, which solely requires willful or unlawful touching of an intimate partner such as a spouse (current or former) or cohabitant.  Being arrested for either crime can have serious consequences and will normally require that you post a significant amount of bail.  Bail can generally be posted immediately after the booking process is complete.  The booking process can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 10 hours depending on the jail and police department.  If you or a loved one has been arrested for domestic violence and require bail to be posted, contact Premiere Bail Bonds immediately.  We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist you.  We will help you understand the bail process and get you out of jail fast.  Call now toll free at (800) 662-0056.
