There are a number of factors that go into deciding what bail should be set at for a particular defendant. A judge will often use the bail schedule to determine the amount, but they may take into consideration your criminal history, the nature of the crime, your likelihood to appear at court, financial resources, family and community ties as well as the danger to the community.
