Smallville Actress Released on $5 Million Bail

Allison Mack, best known for her role on Smallville as Chloe Sullivan, was released on $5 million bond.  Mack is currently awaiting trial for her alleged involvement in a sex cult.  In addition to posting the bond she was ordered to undergo electronic monitoring.  Mack will be confined to house arrest in her parent’s Los Alamitos home.  Mack was indicted by federal prosecutors for multiple felony charges including sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy.

Her indictment comes from her involvement in the group DOS.  Federal prosecutors allege that the group was a sex cult run by the co-founder of NXIVM.  The controversial multi-level marketing organization was the subject of several exposés including one on 20/20.  Now, according to authorities, Mack was working with NXIVM co-founder Keith Raniere in an elaborate sex trafficking ring where she acted as head master of the “slaves.”  The women were required to perform sexual acts and were branded when joining DOS.  Raniere was also indicted on criminal charges.  He is currently awaiting trial.
