Fullerton Jail and Inmate Information

fullerton-jailThe Fullerton City Jail is located at 237 W. Commonwealth Avenue, Fullerton, California 92832. The Fullerton Jail is a temporary holding facility with most inmates being released within 48 hours to appear in court.   Up to 15 male inmates can be housed in the Fullerton Jail. Female arrestees are taken to the Orange County Jail for booking.

Visiting Information at Fullerton City Jail

The Fullerton Jail is open 24 hours a day and allows one visitor for up to 15 minutes each day. This does not include criminal defense attorneys, bondsman or a member of the clergy that has come to visit the inmate.   Visiting hours are from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm daily. The public is restricted from visiting an inmate on the day of the arrest. All visitors must present a valid government issued ID, must be over the age of 18 unless present with a parent and must be approved by the jail supervisor. Involved parties in domestic violence arrests may be denied visitation.

Posting Bail at the Fullerton City Jail

Once an arrestee has completed the booking process he may be eligible to post bail and be released. Bail bonds can be posted 24 hours a day. Fullerton Work Furlough and Pay to Stay Inmate Worker Program

The City of Fullerton Jail offers a Pay-to-Stay program within the facility. A prisoner must meet the jail’s booking requirements and receive a court order to participate in the pay-to-stay program. The cost for the program is $127 per day along with a non-refundable $126 processing fee paid in cash with the application. All fees must be paid up front. Fullerton Jail Pay-To-Stay Application Process

Along with a $126 cash, non-refundable processing fee a prisoner must fill out the Fullerton Jail Pay-to-Stay application and provide a copy of all orders that describe the charges they were charged with and/or convicted of. An applicant must submit a medical questionnaire, present a copy of a government issued ID and shall provide the name, address and office phone/fax for any attorney representing him. The applicant will then be interviewed to determine final eligibility into the program.

Work Furlough Arrangements

If an inmate is granted work furlough as a pay-to-stay participant they must have a court order that details the days of the week and specific times they are granted leave for work. All inmates are restricted must be housed in the facility from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.
