Five alleged gang members were arrested this weekend on suspicion of murder. 36-year-old Eduardo Curiel Molina was found with a gunshot to his upper body near the Ponderosa Joint Use Library in Anaheim on November 14. The five men accused of killing Molina include a 16-year-old boy who is being held at Juvenile Hall. The other men ranging from 18 to 21 are being at the Orange County Jail without bail. The shooting is gang-related according to Anaheim police.
This is not the first gang-related homicide to strike the area. Jared Smith, 23, was found shot and killed in a gang-related incident in August of this year and Victor Negrete, 25, died after receiving several gunshot wounds in a similar incident in May. All are examples of tragic and senseless violence that rocks our communities.
