Bogart Velasco, a trucker from Fresno, has been arrested for human trafficking, sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, promoting a juvenile in prostitution and child endangerment. It is believed that he took two missing California teenagers to New Jersey to engage in prostitution. Velasco was arrested by Elmwood Park Police at the Town House Inn and Suites in New Jersey. The two teenage girls, who had been missing since August 23, were found with Velasco.
Prosecutors believe that the 53-year-old trucker intended on using them in a human trafficking scheme. He wanted to make money by using them as prostitutes. Prosecutors also allege that Velasco engaged in sexual activity with both girls at different times.
