I don’t understand how people in these school systems can ignore situations that are reported to them. Would they react the same way if it were their child, or grandchild? I doubt it very much. How can anyone bury their head in the sand when innocent children are involved?
Of course, no one thinks about the long-term affect these situations can and will have on these children. I can only hope that they find a way to rise above it and not let it hold them back from growing up without any lingering trauma.
Mark Berndt is being held on a $23 million bail. He faces many life sentences and at 61, he will surely die in prison.
What is your opinion of this situation?

As a parent, it is very unsettling to think that a teacher would be sick enough to trick his young students, who obviously didn’t know any better, into such sick “games”, as he called them. I am appalled that Berndt got away with this behavior for so many years. It’s not too far off from the Penn State scandal with Gerald “Jerry” Sandusky, only his “game” was a bit more sexual.
