Two aides for Los Angeles City Council members have been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on the same night. The two men were arrested in Los Angeles about an hour apart.
Fredy Ceja is the communications director for City Councilman Gil Cedillo. He is currently being held on $25,000 bail after being pulled over in downtown Los Angeles at the intersection of 6th Street and Spring Street while driving his own vehicle.
In an unrelated event, Fredy Torres, field deputy to LA City Councilman Marqueece Harris Dawson, was arrested in South Los Angeles for allegedly driving under the influence. He was released on $15,000 bail according to the Los Angeles Police Department. He was driving a city-issued vehicle at the time.
