According to the Los Angeles Police Department, 46-year-old Hiroshi Motohashi originally brought a small pet snake to Iroha Sushi of Tokyo in Sherman Oaks, after employees asked him to go outside with the pet, Motohashi returned with a 13-foot python. He dropped the pet python in the middle of the restaurant and then left. The Los Angeles Fire Department eventually came to remove the snake from behind a computer in the restaurant. Motohashi was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats and had bail set at $50,000.
