Posting bail in the Long Beach Jail can be a confusing process, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the procedures. The Long Beach Police Department can take several hours to fingerprint and book a defendant before they are ready for bail. The police department is located at 100 Long Beach Boulevard (and First Street), which is where they accept the bail bond from us.
After they have approved the bail bond and authorized the defendant for release, which usually takes around 30 minutes, the defendant will be released at the jail location three blocks from the police department, at the southwest corner of Chestnut and Broadway. It’s important to note that Chestnut is a dead-end street. When a defendant is released, they will come from an underground ramp. We recommend that you wait in your car for the defendant to come out and not block or go down the ramp.
Navigating the bail process can be overwhelming, but our experienced team at the family-owned bail bond agency is here to guide you every step of the way. We understand the intricacies of the system and can provide you with the necessary information and guidance to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
In addition to assisting with the bail bond itself, we can also provide you with helpful information and contact numbers for the various entities involved in the legal process in Long Beach. This includes the police department, court system, public defender’s office, and district attorney’s office.
By having these resources readily available, you can easily access the information you need to navigate the legal system effectively. Our team is happy to share our knowledge and expertise to help alleviate the stress and confusion that often accompanies these situations.
