$6 Million Bail in Dangerous Hit and Run

Suspect Booked at Long Beach City Jail on Multiple Counts

According to KTLA-TV Los Angeles, a 27-year-old man was arrested without incident in Compton. The young man was arrested in relation to a dangerous hit and run accident that sent 6 people to the hospital. Reports indicate that he drove onto the sidewalk in an attempt to hit a woman he had been arguing with and ended up plowing into several other people.

A witness said three of his family members were injured in the accident. 2 people were left in critical condition and 1 minor was injured but thankfully everyone is expected to survive the near-fatal accident.

Booked at Long Beach City Jail

The man accused of the crime was booked into the Long Beach city jail and booked for 6 counts of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and felony domestic violence. He is currently being held on $6 million bail.

As noted by the Los Angeles Times, the hit and run accident occurred after a Halloween party at approximately 2:45 am on October 31, 2021. The suspect, later identified as Richard Dalton Irigoyen was driving a blue sedan at the time of the incident.

He reportedly fled the scene after hitting multiple people with his vehicle. The tragic events seem to have unfolded after a domestic violence incident between Irigoyen and a female adult.
