All persons entering a the Indio Jail for purposes of visiting an inmate are subject to a search of their person and belongings by the correctional staff and are subject to warrant checks and arrest.  Upon entering the Indio Jail you must present an acceptable form of identification such as a picture ID.

The Indio Jail Facility is located in the City of Indio.  The facility serves the Coachella Valley.  Public parking is available in the Visitor Parking area at the Larsen Justice Center across the street from the jail.

Visiting Hours are different at every correctional facility in Riverside County.  Each housing unit has specific days for visiting. So be sure to check with the Indio Jail for their schedule.

A maximum of two adults 18 years or older and two children under 18 are allowed per visit and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  Visitors must sign-up 15 minutes before the scheduled visit time and end 15 minutes past the visit start time.  Inmates incarcerated in Indio Jail are allowed a minimum of two visits per week. Each visit is approximately 45 minutes.  Visitors will only be allowed to visit with the inmate they signed up to visit.  Once a visitor departs the visitation area, the visit with the inmate will be terminated.
All facilities within the Riverside County Sheriff's Corrections Division reserve the right to terminate any visit if deemed necessary for security purposes.  If this occurs, staff members will ask you to safely exit the facility.

Upon entering the Robert Presley Detention Center you must present an acceptable form of identification such as a picture ID. Robert Presley Detention Center is located in the downtown area of Riverside, California.  Also a part of the Robert Presley Detention Center is the Riverside County Regional Medical Center jail security unit located in Moreno Valley. This facility houses inmates that are in need medical attention. Inmates incarcerated in the Robert Presley Detention Center are allowed a minimum of two visits per week. Each visit is approximately 45 minutes. Visitors must be 18 years or older to visit and visitors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  A maximum of two adults and two children are allowed per visit. Visitor check in begins 20 minutes before the visit start time and ends 10 minutes before the visit start time. Visiting at the Robert Presley Detention Center is by appointment only. Visitors must call the day before the requested visiting day to set an appointment.  Each housing unit has specific days for visiting with appointments available in the morning, afternoon and evening.  Inmates may have two visits on a given visiting day. However, the visits are limited to one in the morning and one in the evening.

Visiting appointments are scheduled Sunday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm by calling (951) 341-8888.

Metered Public Parking is available on streets surrounding the jail. Two separate Public Parking Structures are located at the corner of Lemon and 12th street.

The Smith Correctional Facility is home to several programs run exclusively and jointly by the department.  Such programs include Work Release and the Supervised Electronic Confinement Program.  Other programs administered here include Alcohol/Drug Abuse Counseling, Social Skills, Family Services, and Academic Assistance. Some of these programs are provided jointly with outside agencies such as, the Probation Department, Mental Health Services, and the County Superintendant of Schools
All persons entering a Riverside County correctional facility for purposes of visiting inmates are subject to a search of their person and belongings by the correctional staff.  Upon entering the Smith Correctional Facility, for purposes of visiting an inmate, must present an acceptable form of identification with a picture and are subject to warrant checks and arrest.

Inmates incarcerated in the Smith Correctional Facility are allowed a minimum of two visits per week. One visit per day on the day scheduled for their assigned housing location.  Each visit is approximately 40 minutes.  Visitors must be 18 years or older to visit, visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Two people are allowed to visit with each inmate, children and infants are counted. Visitors will only be allowed to visit with the inmate they signed up to visit.  Once a visitor departs the visitation area, the visit with the inmate will be terminated.
No appointment is necessary and visitors must show up thirty minutes prior to the scheduled visit time to check in. We suggest that you arrive one hour or more prior to the scheduled visit time to check in.
Parking is available in the parking lot west of the main gate. Handicapped parking is available.

The Southwest Detention Center is located in the southwest portion of Riverside County, adjacent to the cities of Temecula and Murrieta, in an area known as French Valley.
The Southwest Sheriff Station/Temecula Police Department is adjacent to the jail. The entire complex is known as the Southwest County Justice Center.  The expansion was built in conjunction with a new court facility and juvenile hall.

All persons entering Southwest Detention Center for purposes of visiting an inmate must present an acceptable form of picture identification and are subject to warrant checks and arrest. Upon entering the Southwest Detention Center for purposes of visiting inmates you can be subject to a search of your person and belongings by the correctional staff.

Inmates incarcerated in the Southwest Detention Center are allowed a minimum of two visits per week. Each visit is approximately 45 minutes. Visitors must be 18 years of age or older to visit.  Visitors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Visitors will only be allowed to visit with the inmate they signed up to visit. Visitors must sign up, on the day of their actual visit, in the Southwest Detention Center lobby. A maximum of four people, two adults and two children may visit an inmate during a scheduled visit. Visitors must sign up for visitations no later than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This applies to visitors with appointments as well.  The Lobby Deputy will continue to make appointments for visitors until all visiting positions are full. Each inmate is entitled to 2 visits on their scheduled visiting day however; a visitor is only allowed one visit per day.  Once a visitor departs the visitation area, the visit with the inmate will be terminated.

Visiting inmates housed in Administrative Segregation or Housing Unit "A" is by appointment only. Visitors must call the day of the requested visit to set an appointment. Each housing unit has specific days for visiting with appointments available in the morning, afternoon and evening. Visitors may call (951) 696-3191 after 7:00 am to set appointments and appointments are filled on a "first come, first serve" basis.

Please note, appointments must be made by phone for administratively segregated inmates and the housing location of any inmate may change periodically. Therefore, it is recommended that you call the jail to confirm their housing location and determine their current visiting schedule. 

The Parking is really bad at Southwest Detention Center.  So be prepared that you might have to walk if your visiting an inmate. Most of the parking lot is for Jury Duty folks.  Be very careful where you park.  READ THE SIGNS.
