Questions you may have…

How can you start the process to post bail for someone?

Usually to start you need to contact the jail facility of the Orange County Jail in Santa Ana. This information will usually become available within two hours of release. You can contact the OCSD’s search engine for inmates located on their website www.ocsd.org. If the inmate is a new booking and has completed the booking process or has appeared in court and has been remanded to the custody of the Sheriff, bail can be posted at the IRC Cashier's Office at 550 N. Flower St., Santa Ana. If the inmate has been sentenced, bail cannot be posted. By calling Premiere Bail Bonds, we can find out this information quickly through the phone or the fax and release the inmate after the booking process for you.

Approximately how long does it take for an inmate to be released after posting bail?

If an inmate has been through the booking process in the Orange County Jail Facility such as fingerprinting, photographs, and paperwork, you can post bond within six to eight hours at the cashier’s office depending on how busy the facility is. If you call Premiere Bail Bonds, we can post bail two to three hours after the booking process and prepare a release fairly quickly.

How and when can I get information regarding information on my friend or loved one after an arrest?

Information regarding an arrest can become available in two hours by calling the jail facility located below or by accessing the OCSD’s website.   By calling our trained and certified bail bondsmen, we can expedite this process immediately.

How can I release the inmate’s property to me?

Basically, during regular visiting days and times just inform the Deputy at the information desk that you need a Property Release Form.   Complete the form in detail and return it to the Deputy who will obtain the inmate's signature. When the form is signed, the property will be brought to the information desk. You must wait until all of the above steps have been completed. If you do not wait, the property will be returned to storage and the process will begin again when you return. Only in cases of extreme emergency can it be done outside of regular visiting days and times.
