Long Beach Police Department and Long Beach Jail

Posting bail in the Long Beach Jail can be confusing at times. The Long Beach Police Department can take several hours to fingerprint and book a defendant before the person is ready for bail. The Long Beach Police Department is located at 100 Long Beach Boulevard (and First Street). This is where the police accept the bail bond from a licensed bail bond agency.

After the jail has approved the Long Beach bail bond and authorized the defendant for release (usually within 30 minutes), he or she will be released at the jail location 3 blocks from the police department, at the southwest corner of Chestnut and Broadway. (Chestnut is a dead end street.) When a defendant is released, they will come from an underground ramp. Do not block or go down the ramp. We recommend that you wait in your car for the defendant to come out.

Below we have supplied you with some of the essential information for Long Beach PD. If you need further assistance regarding bail bonds in Long Beach please call 1-800-662-0056.
